Match Report

Brechin City came from two goals down to beat Dunfermline by 3-2 in a pulsating match at Glebe Park this afternoon.

The Pars opened the scoring after 31 minutes when Lawrence Shankland steered the ball home from the edge of the box and it was 2-0 for the visitors nine minutes into the second-half when Ryan Walllace scored a tremendous individual goal after a great run.

The City players though didn't let their heads go down and substitute Derek Carcary blasted the ball into the roof of the net in the 57th minute after a Bobby Barr shot had come back off the bar and it was sensationally 2-2 four minutes later when an Andy Jackson shot cannoned off Stephen Husband to beat Ryan Scully in the Dunfermline goal.

You just had the feeling that City were going to go on and win the match and so it proved one minute from time when Darren Petrie fired home a wonderful left-foot drive from around 20 yards to the absolute joy of the players, management and City supporters.

The victory over Dunfermline made it three wins from three games and sets the team up nicely for next week' trip to Ibrox to face league leaders Rangers.
